Horseback Riding Camp – Frequently Asked Questions
How can I reserve a spot?
You can reserve a spot at one of our camps here:
Once you have selected your camp option, you will be offered the following payment options:
Credit Card. Please note that credit card payments are subject to a processing fee. You will receive an email confirming your reservation.
Pay in Person/Manual Payment. Select any of these two options if you will be paying cash or by check. You will receive an email confirmation with further payment instructions in order to secure your spot.
For any payment options, you will be asked for a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. Full camp balance is due on the first day of camp, payable by check or cash. Note that we can only accept checks and cash on this day. If you prefer to pay the balance by credit card, please email us to firstname.lastname@example.org at least one week prior to camp so that we can send you an electronic invoice (a processing fee will apply).
Once your deposit is received, we will email you the Camper Registration and Release Form to complete, sign, and email or mail to Bailey Oaks Farms. Our address is 7220 County Road 128, Alvin, Texas 77511.
What ages are the camps for?
All children ages 6 -12 years old are eligible to participate. No riding experience is necessary.
Will my camper get to ride a horse?
Yes! Our campers ride every day and get plenty of saddle time. Campers will also learn how to groom, tack, and care for their horses. In addition to riding, campers will participate in a variety of horse-related activities and games on our beautiful 40+ acre facility.
What does my camper need to wear or bring?
Campers need to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Shoes with a small heel, such as a boot, are preferred to keep feet from slipping in stirrups. Absolutely no sandals, flip-flops or other open-toe shoes will be permitted. We provide all the rest of the gear, including helmets.
Campers need to bring a sack lunch and a water bottle each day.
How many campers attend each week?
To ensure that each camper gets personalized instruction and a lot of riding time, we keep our camp size small.
Can my child sign up for more than one week?
Of course! Attending more than one week is a good way for campers to continue to improve their riding skills and make new friends.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds will not be provided under any circumstances. If your camper is unable to attend their reserved week for any reason, contact us and we will work with you to check availability for other weeks. Campers will be allowed to switch weeks only if there is available space. If your camper cannot attend every day of his/her camp, the cost of the camp does not change. We have both covered and uncovered riding arenas, so we ride in any weather – rain or shine.
I registered my camper, but I would now like to change which week they are registered for. How can I do that?
Contact us and let us know the week you would now prefer. If there is a spot available, we can make the switch for your camper at no charge.
